Skyland Trail took a strong message to government representatives in Atlanta, as part of an annual event to bring awareness to the unique issues faced by the mental health community.
On Wednesday, Feb. 8th, a group of Skyland Trail clients attended “Mental Health Day at the Capitol.” The event is sponsored by the Behavioral Health Services Coalition and is an opportunity to inform state legislators and their staff members about the current needs of mental health services, both here in Atlanta and across the state.
Attendents listened to speakers from state agencies, then had a chance to tour the capitol.
Community Relations & Education Coordinator Christina Tse and Marketing Associate Isom White were there to tell attendees about Skyland Trail’s services and programs.
