The Pastoral Counseling program is excited to announce a community event: Fellowship Through Spirituality to be held Sunday, September 12th from 10:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. on the Skyland Trail Campus.

Fellowship through Spirituality is open to clients, client families and friends, as well as staff. It will be a time of intentional community, with hands-on experiences through which participants have the opportunity to explore the role of spirituality by participating in music, horticulture, art and yoga rotation groups. The event aims to educate the public about mental illness, in order to reduce stigma. There will be time for refreshments and gathering as a community as well.

The Pastoral Counseling program at Skyland Trail seeks to address the spiritual aspects of a person’s recovery from mental illness. It works within the holistic recovery model, and is intended to support clients from any religious or spiritual background or belief system. We understand that a person’s spiritual beliefs are very personal and we seek to offer support to those who express an interest.

The Pastoral Counseling program is looking forward to welcoming clients, families and staff to Skyland Trail for this wonderful community event.
